The Historic Site, the U.S. Grant Home, bought my portrait of General Grant, then happily commissioned me to paint his Wife Julia Dent Grant . The U.S. Grant Home, an National Historic Site, was the last residence of The General before his move to Washington D.C. to accept the Presidency.

I was commissioned by the U.S. Grant Home to paint Illinois Legislator Elihu B. Washburne, he also served in President Grant's Cabinet. My portrait hangs at the Washburne House, in Galina Illinois.

I'm proud to have been commissioned by the U.S. Grant Home in Galina, Illinois, to paint a new rendition of the Surrender at Appomattox. The first painting to show all 16 named participants who were reported to be there on that day on April 9th, 1865.
